TAKING SWEET TIME SAYING
OUR GOODBYES, ONE MINUTE MORE
ALIASES: Mr. Sinister, Robert Windsor, Arnold Bocklin, Mike Milbury, Apocalypse, Steven Shaffran, Edmond Atkinson, Nate, Administrator Pearson, Nosferatu, Nathan Milbury, Pale Man
AGE: Unknown, possibly over 100
CANON OR ORIGINAL: Canon
SEXUALITY: heterosexual
ALIGNMENT: Evil
OCCUPATION: Geneticist; former scientist, socialite, teacher, obstetrician, biologist
APPEARANCE: Essex stands at 6-feet tall in his regular human form without shoes. He is a broad man with lightly tanned skin, well groomed and slicked back black hair. His eyes, which are usually completely red and shining, take on a nigh black yet natural color. He is always dressed in fine clothing, often times a three piece suit in the style of the American 1940s, complete with pocket watch and matching shoes. His favorite is a 3 piece red pinstripe suit, which he pairs with a black dress shirt and crimson necktie.
Whether in the form of Nathaniel or Mr. Sinister he always has a black goatee (as seen in first pic).
In the form of Sinister he wears a dark blue, nearly black, body suit that has a metallic look to it. On both shoulders are large armored shoulder pads that stick out a bit from his body, and on his chest is a bold red diamond design. On his deathly pale forehead is a red diamond-shaped jewel. His hands are gloved by his suit, and his legs are almost utterly covered by huge boots that just about reach his pelvis. In this form Sinister is a few inches taller, his skin is whiter than a dead man’s, and his muscle mass is increased drastically. He also wears a rather large and bizarre cape that is red on the inside and dark blue on the outside, and appears to be made up of just many strips of a cape.

FEW SCENES FROM MY LIFE
OR MOMENTS MEAN MORE TO ME
Creating new beings.
Jean Gray's DNA.
Scott Summers' DNA.
Experimenting.
Stealing others powers to add to his own.
Extraordinary/Interesting mutants/meta-humans/beings.
Lording over his foes.
Cloning.
Manipulating others.
DISLIKES: Most of the X-Men.
People messing with/ruining his plans.
Opponents more invulnerable than he.
Betrayers.
Being beaten.
Failed experiments.
Useless people (underlings).
STRENGTHS: Very high intellect - makes him a threat on the battlefield, and even more in the lab.
Trickery - because he can control his body on a molecular level he is very good at fooling his enemies into believing he is defeated, or even dead (that is but one example).
Sinister is just an all around very powerful guy, as such he also excels in crushing his opponents with brute strength.
WEAKNESSES: Sinister has a God complex, believing himself to have the power to giveth and taketh away. He is able to create beings the likes of which nobody has seen. And if it were up to him, his beings would be the only ones on the planet. Because he is so powerful, and is well aware of his greatness, he sometimes underestimates his opponent(s).
Sinister is blind in his pursuit of the "perfect being", and completely without remorse, totally lacking compassion...
POWERS & ABILITIES: Following genetic alteration by Apocalypse, Sinister possesses enhanced durability and an extended lifespan. Over the years, Sinister has used the genetic material of other mutants to grant himself a vast array of powers including telepathy, telekinesis, superhuman strength, the ability to project concussive energy from his hands, and total control of his body at the molecular level.
PERSONALITY: Mr. Sinister, true to his name, is indeed a sinister man. This superhuman of Apocalypse's making enjoys experimenting with people, mainly mutants or any others with incredible abilities/powers. Sinister long dreamt of making the most perfect mutant using the DNA of Cyclops and Marvel Girl. This mad genius has also contemplated the idea of global domination, and enslaving the minds of all so that he may achieve his goals and do as he wishes.
Sinister views himself as something of a god, being extremely durable, strong, powerful, and a genius. In comparison most of the world, especially the humans, are mere ants. In an ideal world everyone would follow him, and do as he commanded, and using his brilliance he could make a perfect race of beings. Sinister longs to create the absolutely most flawless creature, one rivaling his own greatness.

FATHER: Unknown
SIBLINGS: N/A
OTHER IMPORTANT PEOPLE: Rebecca Essex (wife, deceased), Adam Stanislaus Essex (son, deceased), unnamed child (deceased), N2 (creation, deceased), Madelyne Pryor (creation, deceased).
ORIGIN: London, England
HISTORY: During the 19th Century, Nathaniel Essex encountered Apocalypse who used his technology to transform Essex into “Sinister”, the last word his dying wife ever spoke to him.
Soon after, a time displaced Gambit and Courier approached Sinister for help. Sinister agreed to help them, as long as he could have a DNA sample from Courier. This DNA sample allowed Sinister to replicate Courier shape shifting abilities, within Sinister’s own body.
By the early 20th Century, Sinister had cracked the genetic genome and was willing to share the information with Herbert Edgar Wyndham, who would later become the High Evolutionary.
During World War II, Sinister worked alongside the Nazis, collecting as many blood samples as he could. It was during this time that he first saw Sub-Mariner, and was inspired to create a clone of Namor. The clone was experiment N2 and had varied success against the original Namor but was defeated by Captain America.
Some time later, Sinister recruited Gambit to gather together the Marauders and ordered the massacre of the Morlocks. Sinister cloned Jean Grey in the form of Madelyne Pryor, so that Cyclops would have a child with her, which Sinister would view as the ultimate mutant. Ultimately, Cyclops rejected Pryor when Jean returned from stasis, and the youth would be carried to the future, where he would return to present era as Cable. Sinister's machinations would lead to the event known as Inferno, where Cyclops supposedly killed Sinister with an optic blast, although Sinister resurfaced alive and well, when he revealed that there was a third Summers brother.
Sinister was involved in Stryfe's attempted assassination of Xavier,, trading Cyclops & Jean Grey to Stryfe in exchange for their DNA. However, Stryfe actually gave Sinister the Legacy Virus, which would terrorize mutant (and eventually human) life, and lead to the deaths of several mutants.
Sinister later involved himself with Nate Grey and the mutant Threnody. He joined the reestablished Weapon X program as Doctor Robert Windsor, claiming to help mutants escape Weapon X's mutant concentration camp "Neverland," but in reality, he took them to be his test subjects.

PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME
WITHOUT SAYING GOODBYE
AGE: 20
EXPERIENCE: About 6 years, maybe more.
OTHER CHARACTERS: Not right now
WRITING SAMPLE:
Mr. Sinister was no longer content to stay in his fortress deep in the Savage Lands while his underlings tended to matters elsewhere in the world. Nathaniel needed a little action. Usually Essex did not search out something so primal, but he felt it would do him some good to stay on top of his game. He wouldn't want to be rusty in the ways of battle when the Masters of Evil had their first big confrontation with, say, The Avengers for example. Thus, Sinister left his domain, knowing it would be safe whether he was around or not. He ventured to North America, Canada more specifically. It was cold, windy, and altogether unpleasant, but the ghostly pale man did not mind it. His red eyes shined dimly through the snow that blew all around him, and his cape fluttered about wildly.
~I don't know what I expected to find here. There's no sign of civilization for at least five miles.~ He thought to himself, and then he heard a mighty road come from somewhere behind him. The large man turned and saw a dark figure through the snow. It seemed Mr. Sinister had invaded the turf of a bear, and said bear was most unhappy about this. The animal growled as it approached the mutant on all fours. "Do you want something, creature?" He asked calmly and with contempt. The bear only roared again and stood up on its back legs. "You think I'm afraid of you, beast?" Sinister scoffed. "I'll teach you about fear."
The bear swung at him with great force, but Sinister gripped the animal's wrist and held it in place. The bear wasn't sure what was happening; he tilted his head to the side and moaned at Essex. The villain smirked, and then yanked the creature down toward him. The beast bit into his right shoulder, but the pale man paid it no attention and stuck fiercely at its stomach with his fist. The air was knocked out of the bear, and then Sinister thrust-kicked it onto its back. The wounds on his shoulder quickly healed as he stared down at the bear, which was starting to rise. Again the animal tried to attack, but Mr. Sinister kicked it in the head once and down it went. The bear didn't move, well, aside from the rising and lowering of its torso as it breathed.
"Pathetic." He muttered as he stared at his defeated opponent, and then suddenly the faint sound of footsteps caught his ear. "But perhaps..." He smiled darkly, not even turning to see who was near him. "You can offer a better challenge?"
